Hydration for exercise

When you exercise, your body sweats to regulate temperature.

This sweat contains water and important electrolytes, like sodium and potassium.

To perform your best, it’s crucial to keep your body’s water and electrolyte balance in check.

Before exercising, drink water to start hydrated.

During your workout, aim to sip water every 10-20 minutes.

This helps maintain your hydration levels and supports your muscles’ performance.

If you’re engaging in intense or prolonged exercise, consider sports drinks containing electrolytes.

These help replenish what you lose through sweat and provide energy.

Don’t wait until you’re thirsty to drink water.

By that point, you might already be dehydrated.

Set a schedule: hydrate before, during, and after exercise.

Keep water or sports drinks handy, and keep your body fueled for a successful workout!
